ZRO · a hard cap that cannot save you from a calendar.
ZRO is the token of LayerZero, an omnichain messaging protocol — one token living on seven networks at once, capped at 1B forever, with only 353.3M counted as circulating.
Sell pressure. 77.13M ZRO came free in 90 days — three monthly releases of 25.71M to investors, staff and a repurchased pot. Not one new coin was created; every bit of it is old supply losing its restriction.
Buy pressure. 0.43M — a revenue buyback that parks what it buys instead of destroying it. The fee burn stayed switched off for the fourth vote running.

ZRO cannot be created. All 1,000,000,000 were made at the June 2024 launch, and the token lives on seven networks at once — moving it between them destroys it on one side and recreates it on the other, so the seven-network total never changes. It read exactly 1,000,000,000 at both ends of the window.
Three monthly releases landed inside the window — Jun 20, Jul 20 and Aug 20 2026 — at 25.71M ZRO each. The release splits three ways, and each part is exactly one twenty-fourth of its bucket: 13.42M to strategic partners, 10.63M to core contributors, 1.67M from the repurchased pot. Nothing on-chain enforces it. The wallets holding these allocations are ordinary custody multisigs with no release function, so the tokens already sit in their owners' hands and the date only lifts a contract restriction. Actual movement out of those wallets was 17.73M over the same 90 days; the 59.39M difference is released supply still being held.
Nothing moved. The two largest custody multisigs held 106.06M and 69.55M ZRO — 175.61M together — unchanged to the token at both ends of the window. Behind them sit eleven investor wallets holding exactly 8.55M each, every one flat except a single wallet that fell from 8.55M to 4.10M, and 2.19M in the buyback wallet that has never sent anything out. About 646.69M ZRO in total sits outside the counted float; roughly 246.80M of that is still on the release calendar and the rest has no published schedule at all.
There is no estate and no trustee holding ZRO on a release plan. The one claim tied to a collapsed trading firm was bought back before the token launched and folded into the ordinary investor allocation, where it already vests inside the calendar above.
A revenue-funded buyback bought 0.43M ZRO over the window and parked it. The wallet climbed every month — 124,574 in May, 141,557 in June, 160,271 in July — and has never sent a single token out, so the 2.19M it now holds is off the market only for as long as it stays there. It is funded by all of the bridge protocol's fee revenue since April 2026.
Nothing burns ZRO. The protocol fee that would pay for a burn is switched off, and an unchangeable contract puts it to a holder vote every six months — four votes so far, four times off, the last on Jun 27 2026. Both checks agree: the seven-network total is unchanged at 1,000,000,000, and the balance sitting at the dead address rose by less than a tenth of one token in 90 days. The next vote falls in late December 2026.
Sporadic — last firing Nov 2025, a one-off $10M open-market purchase after a 50M repurchase from early backers in Sep 2025. No public schedule for next 90 days.
Nothing locks ZRO away. There is no staking contract to lock it into today; ZRO becomes a stake and gas token only when the project's own network goes live, which is guided to autumn 2026 with no committed date.
